Come out and support your neighbours during our community-wide garage sale this weekend, August 6th & 7th!

Garage Sales will be taking place at the following residences:

The Party Queens will be appearing outside the Queen Mary Park hall on
Friday, August 6th from 7pm – 8:30pm
and again on
Friday, August 20th from 7pm – 8:30pm

New Garbage Cart Roll Out

Wednesday, August 4 is the first day of new cart pick up!

Make sure you put out the correct carts on the correct weeks!

The upcoming collection schedule is as follows:
August 4th – Recycling and Food Waste
August 11th – Garbage, Recycling, and Food Waste
August 18th – Recycling and Food Waste
August 25th – Garbage, Recycling, and Food Waste

Fox Burger Food Truck – Aug. 18th

We are excited to invite Fox Burger Food Truck to come and serve our community on Wednesday, August 18th from 5pm-9pm!

Come down to the hall and grab dinner! Great Date night idea!

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS

We are currently seeking volunteers for our upcoming EFCL Community League Day Pancake Dinner.

The Event will take place on Saturday, September 18th from 2:30pm – 5:00pm

We are looking for volunteers to help set up prior to the event, assist in cooking/serving/additional tasks during the event, and help clean up after the event.

August Safety Tips!

This week we are sharing some tips on Firepit Safety!

firepits must be at least 3 metres from buildings, property lines and anything else that could catch fire.
assemble your firepit from bricks, concrete or heavy gauge metal.
fully enclose the sides of your firepit.
use only dry untreated wood, charcoal, natural gas and dry wood.
Keep a water source or fire extinguisher nearby to extinguish the fire when necessary.

Remember!
– NEVER leave a firepit unattended
– NEVER leave children alone with a lit fire
– ALWAYS make sure a fire is completely out when you are done

Membership Renewal for 2021/2022

Don’t forget that Queen Mary Park Community League Memberships are up for renewal on September 1st, 2021!

Starting September 1st please sign up online at www.queenmarypark.ca or email memberships@queenmarypark.ca

Again, we ask you to please get your renewal requests in early and please be patient! We expect a large number of new memberships and renewals in September. Each memberships is processed by QMP volunteers as soon as possible.

We will do our best to get you your membership a.s.a.p.!

Our next meeting is set to take place on Tuesday, August 10th at 6:30pm.
