Trick Or Treating in QMP
According to our survey last week, there are QMP community members who plan to go trick or treating this year and/or hand out candy according to AHS guidelines.
A few tips for helping to ensure this Halloween is safe for both Homeowners and Trick or Treaters
Homeowners:
1. Don’t hand out candy if feeling ill or isolating
2. Wear a non-medical mask that fully covers your nose and mouth
3. Use tongs to hand out pre-packaged candy to avoid handling treats
4. Consider creating a pipe or slide to be able to deliver candy to trick or treaters from a distance
5. Make candy bags and space them out on a table or blanket – don’t leave out self-serve bowls of bulk candy.
6. Ensure your front porch light is on and your front path is well lit
Trick or Treaters:
1. Don’t go trick or treating if feeling ill, even if symptoms are minor
2. Choose costumes that allow a non-medical mask to be worn underneath – making sure you can see and breathe comfortably
3. Trick or treat with your family or cohort
4. Wash hands and disinfect packages before eating candy
5. Avoid touching doorbells or railings, call “trick or treat” from 2 meters away, use hand sanitizer after touching surfaces.
Are you a homeowner who isn’t planning to hand out candy this year? Consider creating a sign to let Trick or Treaters know to move on to the next house (or just print off this one)
