Happy Diwali from Queen Mary Park Community League!

Edmonton Tool Library

Did you know that your Queen Mary Park Community League Membership allows you free access to the Edmonton Tool Library?

The Edmonton Tool Library is like a book library but for hand and power tools! They have over 300 tools that you can access for your home renovations and projects.

Find out more here.

Neighbourhood Watch

With the holidays coming up Porch Pirates are on the prowl!
Even with many people working from home there have been incidents in our neighbouring communities. There are some measures you can take to protect those packages!

1. If you are not working from home opt to have your packages delivered to your work
2. Request that your package has signature confirmation upon delivery
3. Request to have your package dropped off at a back door or ask your carrier to place packages in an area outside of plain view.
4. Some costlier options include installing a doorbell camera so you can see when packages are delivered immediately or install a locking mailbox.

Keep an eye out to help out your neighbours as well!

Winter has arrived!

Please help keep Queen Mary Park safe and accessible for all by shoveling your walkways.

As in past years, free sand is available at the hall for use on neighbourhood sidewalks.

If you are a senior looking for assistance to clear your snow and other help around the home, you can find resources here.

Reminder from the City of Edmonton:
– Failure to maintain your sidewalks could result in a $100 fine plus potential cleanup costs
– Shovelling or pushing snow from sidewalks into roads or alleys violates municipal bylaws and could result in a fine of $250.

Canadian Blood Services

Canadian Blood Services is looking for more donors to fill available appointments. Please consider signing up if you are able!

From CBS:
“As hospitals resume procedures that were put on hold for COVID-19, we are adding more blood donation appointments to meet patient needs and we need to fill every available appointment.”

Edmonton Urban Coyote Project
