2021 Municipal Election Candidate Forum

Queen Mary Park Community League will be holding an online Candidate Forum for the upcoming municipal election on:

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd

The schedule will be as follows:

5:45 Zoom call open
6:00 Councillor forum
7:00 BREAK
7:15 Zoom call open
7:30 Mayoral forum

A Zoom link for the event will be provided via e-blast and social media on the day of the event!

Presented in cooperation with: the North Edge Business Association, McCauley Community League, Central McDougall Community League, and Prince Rupert Community League.

September Safety Tips!

This month we have some tips for keeping your Garage and its contents safe and secure.

Cover your garage windows so people can’t look inside
Never leave your garage overhead door open. This gives people the opportunity to check out the contents of your garage.
Install an indoor swinging, solid wood or metal man door with a good quality deadbolt.
Keep your garage locked at all times. Especially if it is attached to your home.
Never leave your automatic garage door opener in a vehicle that is parked outside your home.
Lock your car even when it is in the garage.

Do you know about some of the fabulous businesses and organizations right here in our neighbourhood?

This month we are highlighting Uproot Food Collective.

Uproot Food Store is the marketplace for the Uproot Food Collective. They have their brick and mortar storefront on 114th St, and an e-commerce site at www.uprootfood.ca. They deliver all over Edmonton and the province.

Passionate about quality foods and frustrated with mass market grocery sales, their founders rallied to fid a new way to sell amazing artisanal foods. Almost 70 craft food makers and producers retail through the Collective, including Honest Dumplings, South Island Pie Co. and NKD Chocolates. Uproot enables them to reach a much broader market.

Uproot loves it here in Queen Mary Park and is excited about the new growth popping up everywhere! Drop by the storefront to say “Hi!” or explore the website for a taste of something new and exciting!\

Membership Renewal for 2021/2022

Don’t forget that Queen Mary Park Community League Memberships were up for renewal on September 1st, 2021!

Again, we ask you to please get your renewal requests in early and please be patient! We expect a large number of new memberships and renewals in September. Each memberships is processed by QMP volunteers as soon as possible.

We will do our best to get you your membership a.s.a.p.!

October QMPCL Board Meeting

Our next meeting is set to take place on Tuesday, October 12th at 6:30pm.

As current COVID restrictions only allow for limited in-person attendees, we ask that anyone interested in attending please pre-register by emailing memberships@queenmarypark.ca by Monday, October 11th at 11pm.
