  • 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (MDT)
  • 10844 - 117 Street
The hall will be open as a place to warm little hands with a cup of hot chocolate or to use the washroom if you find yourself too far from home.

Drop in for hot chocolate and treats and stay for a while to enjoy the dance party and entertainment.

Volunteer Call:

It’s that time of year again… if you have an hour or two to help make Halloween extra Spook-tacular in Queen Mary Park we would really appreciate your help!

Please note that the party coordinator has given us notice that this will be her last year running this event, so we are actively looking for someone in the community to come forward and work with her to ‘learn the ropes’ this year and take over the lead on this event next year. She will be available next year to assist, but as her kids are getting older she will soon be taking them out to other communities to trick or treat and won’t be able to be as involved. This is a great opportunity for someone with younger children to make this event their own Halloween tradition!

EVENT DETAILS:

- The kids open house will be held on Monday Oct 31 from 6-8pm

- We will be decorating the hall Monday Oct. 31 from 11-2pm

- Clean up will be the day after, from 11-3pm

WE NEED HELP FROM THE COMMUNITY WITH:

- The purchase of candy, hot chocolate, marshmallows & bottled water in advance of the party (we can give you an idea how much).

- Help decorating the hall for the kids dance party (we will be decorating Monday Oct. 31 from 11-2pm)

- General help serving hot chocolate and watching the candy table during the party (it’s a 2 hour open house, and ideally we’d have 2 volunteers for each hour so one can greet people).

- Help with Clean up and putting away the decorations the next day, between 11-3pm

Please reply to Deanne Beis (dbeis@mac.com) with your preferred duty and the time/times you are able to come help out.
